Friday Night Football, On Nine’s Wide World Of Sports…
Friday night was the end of an era in AFL broadcasting with channel nine calling it’s last Friday night game.
Channel nine certainly raised the bar in AFL broadcasting, i have never been a fan of the way channel ten presents the game, with channel nine being the clear stand out. Let’s hope that next season channel seven can raise the bar even more with its broadcast.
Five years ago nine’s telecast began with this campaign…

This campaign i was very impressed with i thought it was catchy and innovative, i certainly liked it anyway.
Now as brodcasted at half time here are some images of events which nine bradcasted over the last five years…

Here are some images of Friday night and basically what the telecast looked like for the five year period, and its just about identical to the NRL coverage up north as well.

Certainly a first class effort which will be missed, especially as it currently looks like we will no longer be hearing the great Dennis Cometti…
Can the team at channel seven and Bruce out-do them?
