Journalistic Comedy At It’s Best… Part II
Well the slanging match continued between the two networks with National Nine News having their say, i only saw a glimpse of it so i can’t say what they said. Today Tonight fired back with an interview with Naomi to try an explain the situation.

Also with Naomi was Paul Raffaele who is the one responsible for trying to ’save’ the young boy in West Papua.

Paul was claiming that when him and the 60 minutes crew, including Ben Fordham were in the region they were approached by the uncle of the boy who pleaded with them to take him out. The crew refused to do so, and he was left there.
Paul also claimed that on Tuesday Ben Fordham had phoned him and said that he knew the channel seven crew was going in, and wanted to know if he knew anything about it. Then on the Thursday he was called again, and stated that he now knew channel seven were on their way to the area, and that they wanted to make him an offer. What was offered to him was, if he was willing to ‘dump’ channel seven, they (channel nine) would give him a one hour documentary to be made by Ben and Paul, and they would rescue Wah Wah. Then if he agreed to all of this then he was able to ‘name his own price’.
Paul believed that channel nine had no intention to care about Wah Wah, all they wanted to do was stop channel seven from going in.
They guide involved told Naomi that Ben Fordham would’t take Wah Wah because he considered it kidnapping, which the guide does not agree with, saying that its not kidnapping its saving him because the family is willing to send him away.
