This week’s Chaser’s War was pretty good with the highlights being The Ad Road Test and The Australian Newspaper sketch on public transport, but this week I will focus on the opening segment which involved the purple Teletubbie trying to get into the Gay Nightclub The Peel in Melbourne, then into the Polish Club.

I’m normally a huge fan of the Chaser, but this episode really made me lose respect for them. it’s quite obvious over the last couple of weeks they’ve been stretching for material - however the latest episode was a joke.
The segment which involved opening a giant newspaper on the train was a shot-for-shot rip off of a sketch which appeared on the C31 show “The Shambles with Sos Valvo & Lynchy” (which i remember seeing probably a year earlier.
What a shame! At least give them the credit they deserve if you’re going to steal gags!
