Do You Have An Idea For A New Television Show?…
Community Television station Channel 31 Melbourne is on the look out for new television programs made by the community, and you can now have the chance to produce your own show.
Channel 31 is especially on the look out for programs involving women such as addressing issues that concern women, women’s sports, gossip and entertainment style shows. other shows the channel will give preference to are health and fitness shows, cooking programs, lifestyle programs, “how to…” type of shows, ”a day in the life of…” show which follows people not usually seen on mainstream television, alternative sports and queer community programs.
Shows which will most likely be not picked up are Music programs, car and male orientated programming as the station already has many shows in these categories.
When submitting a proposal be mindful that the station is looking for a show that will last a 13 week season, and don’t despair if you have no qualifications or experience in this area because there is help from Channel 31 with a program proposal kit.
In your proposal you need to have a program title in mind and provide a 100 word synopsis about the program. The program will need to have a main title logo which will be used for promotional purposes on the Channel 31 web site and of course in the program and must be a jpg format file, 720 pixels by 576 pixels.
Other things which need to be included in the proposal are how the program will be funded, eg through sponsorship and how will the program be promoted. Also the need to be mindful of copyright constraints and written approvals to use any copyright content.
Fore more information, head to the Channel 31 web site at www.c31.org.au where they also have some useful links to other sources you may need, eg.. production crews and equipment, or you can download the pdf documents you will need to look over from here. Program Kit and Overview.
