The Chaser’s War - Week 20 The Eulogy Song and the Uproar From You Know Who…

If you haven’t heard already, which I’m positive is just about impossible, last night’s edition of The Chaser’s War On Everything has copped a lot of criticism today about a song titled The Eulogy Song.
The song sung by Andrew Hansen and written by Chris Taylor dished out some nasty blows to some of the most recognised people who have since passed on. If you haven’t seen the footage in question, you can watch it below…
Below also is the Ten News Melbourne report on the outrage caused by the song…
Of course the “very good friends” of The Chaser A Current Affair and Today Tonight had this as their lead story as you would expect. The ACA report ran for about 5 minutes and interviewed Bev Brock the ex wife of Peter Brock and also consulted Peter Ford a media commentator. Today Tonight’s report was a tad bit overkill as it went for just over 9 minutes, even for a topic with so much outrage that is a long report. Below is the Today Tonight report.

seriously,
channel 7’s grasping at straws
this is the very same channel that brings you such enthralling crap as anna coren and the asian menace.
makes me wonder, why hasnt channel 7 been pulled up over racism?
every second program on channel 7 is about how ‘evil’ asians are.

Seriously, people shouldn’t winge about this.
There was a warning before the show so they even informed you before you viewing it.
This is my favorite show. All the other channels just wished they could have it.

It was very irresponsible of Ten News to cut off Chris’s mention of Belinda Emmett, deliberately not showing the actual team cutting him off in order to spark outrage at the mention of her name.

Clearly, some people need to get a life…but its not the Chaser Boys…I believe the show is called “The Chasers war on EVERYTHING” not on ‘everything except that which leaders of Australia deem inappropriate’ it is a free country…and using this in their show does not mean that they believe everything they said - its ONLY COMEDY - and satire is meant to make people question things…which i believe the chaser boys succeeded in doing? So congratulations boys!!

agreed. it was a bit of humour that wasnt meant to be taken seriously.
viewers had a good laugh and the current affairs shows got a new story for once. win-win situation imo.
