There Is NOOOOOO BINGO!…

Just when you thought Australian Television could not sink to any new lows, along came a little game show by the name of National Bingo Night screening 6:30pm on Seven.

The show is hosted by former Home and Away star Tim Campbell, who is also joined by Tanveer Ahmed who plays the role of the commissioner in the audience and Renee Bargh pulling out the balls.

A major draw card of this show is the ability to play along at home by collecting your own game card, this can be done by grabbing one out of The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney), Sunday Herald Sun (Melbourne), The Sunday Mail (Brisbane), Sunday Mail (Adelaide) and The Sunday Times (Perth), or by going to http://yahoo7.com.au/tv.

The first game of the night is called Bingo 500, where by the contestant must continue to draw balls out until they reach the value of 500 and make a complete circuit of the track. The obstacles to avoid are to guess if the next ball will be higher or lower, if you guess wrong then your position does not move and for no one in the audience to say bingo.

Once the game has reached a position where by an audience member is one away from calling bingo they will be asked to stand up. If not the commissioner tells the contestant that they may “Play On”.

After which when their are audience members, Tim will ask if anyone has bingo… if they do they win, if not we have to listen to the commissioner say his now famous NOOOOOOO BINGO!

In my personal opinion this show is utter and total crap, and from reading the terms and conditions on the game card I picked up from out of the newspaper it sounds like you would have a better chance of winning by heading down to your local RSL club.

Having said that, if you haven’t watched the show tune in next week just to see the commissioner in action as I will be just for something to laugh at, or a better reason for male viewers maybe because of a certain female on the show. Although I guess if you are a lady viewer you might find the host more appealing to have a look at, who knows… or maybe even the commissioner…
