Seven Says Noooo Bingo To The Chaser…

The Seven Network has prevented the Bingo Commissioner Dr Tanveer Ahmed from appearing on tonight’s episode of The Chaser Decides. The Chaser team were told late last week that Dr Ahmed was unavailable which could be seen as a repercussion of last weeks Today Tonight incident.

This theory has been denied by the network who states that, “Tanveer is restricted from appearing on another network during the period of time that National Bingo Night is on the air”. It was also added that, “This is our standard practice, and contractual, with performers on shows”.

It is hard to believe that it has nothing to do with last weeks incident as this is an ABC show where usually personalities from other networks in the past have appeared regardless of what network they are from. An example of this is Spick’s & Specks, and even The Glasshouse, two ABC TV shows where regular guests include David Kosh (Seven Network), Hamish Blake (Network Ten), Peter Helliar (Network Ten), Dave Hughes (Network Ten), and a whole host of others.

Anyway this is the last week National Bingo Night goes to air, so technically Tanveer should be available for next weeks episode for The Chaser Decides?…

Also it should be noted what other occupations our Bingo friend has, he is a psychiatric registrar, former SBS journalist, and is Men’s Health Magazine’s mental health expert and in addition is currently writing his own book about Muslim life in Australia.
