You will get the Freeview channels which are being broadcast in standard definition. You wont get the hig definition channels which are ABC HD (simulcast of ABC1) 7HD, 9HD, One HD (channel ten’s new sports channel, however it will be in standard definition on channel 12) and SBS HD. You will get all other channels.

Thanks for your clear information. I am wondering if I will be able to recieve the Freeview channels with a standard defintion set top box or do I need a high def set top box? I have an old tv.

Southern Cross Ten currently does not carry 10HD, you will have to wait until Freeview launches and then you will get One.

I can’t get 10hd and 9hd in Gordonvale it is just a high definition demonstration when freeview comes will I get these channels and the new ONE.

I’m in Wantirna VIC and having the same trouble as Chris (i.e. have all channels except 10 Digital and 10 HD).

If you were able to get 10 HD, could you please let me know how you achieved this?

Living in Wollongong NSW, I recently purchsed a reputable HDTV and was able to receive all channels clearly and fault free. I recently moved 5 klm’s down the road and could still pick up all channels, however 1 month later I lost all my SBS channels, and the ABC’s channel are not watchable during the day as they seems to stop and start (broken pictures and voices) after 10pm ABC becomes normal ??? I bafled because all worked well 3 months ago?

It is certinally not the TV, I know personally 7 is the hardest channel to find. It all comes down to reception try moving your arieal around or if it’s a professionally installed on (on the roof) you may want to get someone out to come look at it.

We purchased a Samsung HD recently and had all channels including HD. Now for some reason I cannot locate Channel 7 including HD & digital. I have mannualyy re-listed the channels and manually tuned on the digital site but to no avail. Could it be the TV.

I recently moved to Gordonvale where the tv reception was quite snowy so we went out and bought a HD Set Top Box and the reception got snowier. So I got on the rooftop and realised there was no tv antenna only 1 old and 1 new pay tv antenna. So then we went out and bought an indoor/outdoor digital tv antenna and now the only reception we get is SBS and SBS HD. Are there any hints on how to get more channels. We don’t even get the normal channels 7, 9, 10, and ABC. Any suggestions would greatly welcomed.
