ABC ‘Worm’ Is Here To Stay…
Despite reports in today’s The Australian newspaper, the ABC’s new ABC1 logo will not be fully replacing the famous ‘worm’ which has become a national identity for much of the 52 year history of ABC television.
As reported earlier, the ABC is re-branding its main channel so that it comes in line with ABC2 and the soon to be operational ABC3. This style is set to make our national broadcaster look similar to its United Kingdom counterpart the BBC.
Below is a YouTube video of tonight’s ABC News Melbourne explaining what will happen to the broadcasters identity come next week.
