Out Of The Question…

feature photo

Tonight was the premier of a brand new comedy from Glenn Robbins called Out of the Question on the Seven Network.

The show is a panel style show where by host Glenn Robbins has a set of questions he asks his guests for the night, tonight those being Ed Kavalee, Fifi Box and Tony Moclair. I was hoping to be in the audience of this show, however it seemed that they did not want to get back to me, but that’s another topic.

The show got off to a bad start as it was evident Robbins was nervous and forgot to introduce the show. The general idea of the show is for the guests to have a chat about the topic raised in relation to the question trying to make it a humorous conversation.

The show is pretty slow and stumbles along with no real segments at all, it quite simply involves asking questions one at a time and that is it. I cannot see this show lasting very long which is a shame as I am a huge fan of Glenn Robbins, but quite simply the show is a slow and boring as hell version of The Panel.

Obviously everyone is different, so what did you think of it?

  1. I thought it was awful! Seinfeld claimed his show was “about nothing” but I think Out of the Question fits that description just as well, only it wasn’t funny. Just seemed to be an ill-thought out concept perhaps thrown together on a whim due to the writers strike possibly putting some pressure on Seven to get more local shows on.

P.s. Their names are Glenn Robbins and Tony Moclair :-)

  2. It was so bad that I felt embarrassed for him and the guests. The questions were stupid and Fifi Box looked like she did’ent know why she was asked to sit there. Absolute shocker. I will not be giving it a second chance

  3. Without question the worst home grown debut of the past 12 months - possibly ever.
Kudos to Robbins and co for giving it a go but watching it was like death by 1000 cuts. The panel members were badly cast - completely colourless and the Q&A banter moronic.
Robbins is not a host - he’s best suited as the funny sidekick getting the odd laugh as on The Panel or playing an idiot character like Coight or the bloke on Kath and Kim. Robbins is a talented Australian comedic performer but this just demeans his talent and appeal - he just needs to stick to what he does best.
Tim Worner - please don’t inflict this rubbish on us or if you must, can I suggest 3am on Sunday morning on 7HD.

  4. Utter crap and what was with hair style on Fifi Box.
    Goodnight, never again.
