Australia Says Sorry…

Today was a historic occasion for Australia with Prime Minister Kevin Rudd saying sorry to Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders for the Stolen Generations. To mark this occasion all five television networks broadcasted the speech live around the country using the same feed provided by the ABC.

  1. Actually Seven and Ten had it on a 1 hour delay in QLD (and probably delayed in other non AEDT states).

    Evan :->

  2. Evan that’s not right, because Seven had it live around Australia on Sunrise no matter where you are.

  3. No, Jeff. They delay their live shows because we don’t have Daylight Savings here. They delay it by an hour so that when they say “…it’s coming up to eight o’clock…” it actually is coming up to eight o’clock.

  4. No Nicko - they had it live across the nation just for Wednesday.
