Rising Sun Hotel In Trouble Over Underbelly…
It has been revealed that the Rising Sun hotel in South Melbourne broke the restrictions in place imposed by the Supreme Court of Victoria, and screened an interstate feed so people could come and watch the Nine Networks hit new show Underbelly.
An estimated 25 people were present to watch the show at the hotel who were expecting to use their satellite to tap into the Imparja feed, the Nine Network’s Alice Spring’s affiliate. However Imparja did not show Underbelly frustrating patrons with only about 10 remaining when the hotel then picked up WIN WA’s signal to show the broadcast.
The program was available even earlier for those who wanted to defy the ban by using the internet. About 15 minutes after the broadcast finished in the eastern states, the first pirated version was available for download from a Netherlands-based website.
As shown in a post last night, Victorian’s were subjected to a message from Eddie McGuire explaining why Underbelly would not go to air. He made it clear that the Nine Network will be appealing the decision. The network in Melbourne still has not updated its promos for next Wednesday, advertising the new series Cashmear Mafia followed by Underbelly.

All I can say is that Matthew Newton had better do a bloody good job in Underbelly 2. Carl Williams was a complete ametuer and a saint compared to Terry Clark… It would be wise to do him justice. (Unless of course you tools believe he’s actually dead - LOL).
