The Night Cap’s Second Episode…
Tonight was the second episode of The Night Cap a new talk show series on 7HD. Tonight’s episode was minus Monique Wright and her replacement was Melbourne news reader Rebecca Maddern. Click here to see the post on episode 1.
Tonight the show featured a special guest, Ray Thistlewaite from Thirsty Merck who joined the gang at the desk to talk and to provide some insight into his life.
The show didn’t lose any of its momentum from the first night and from its strong performance tonight indicates it will continue to be a great show all year long.
Still the weakest link is Zach, it literally took him 10 minutes into the show to say his first word, and the ask Zach segment is just woeful. Either the phone call received tonight was set-up (more than likely) or he provided pathetic advice giving the impression that people would be insane to call up for his advice. The question was from a woman who has a boy friend who lives in a share house with an ex girlfriend. This woman has never met this girl, but the boy friend doesn’t want her to come over to the house so she feels uncomfortable. Zach then proceeded to offer the advice of, ‘offer him a 3-way’, mind you while looking down at some notes on the table, giving the impression it was set-up.
As you can see from the images the rest of the cast looked a tad uncomfortable, even the always bright Beau. On the assumption it was set-up, imagine if this is what he will do when it is a real person calling up? Time will tell.

i think a problem for them is people not knowing its on in the first place. i havent caught it yet because 7HD isnt in the TV guides i look at. the only way for me to see when its on is to catch an advert on 7SD or browse the 7 digital tv guide.
in saying that, sounds like i didnt miss much
