This Is Your Life…

Tonight was the return of an old favorite to the television screen with the Mike Munro hosted This Is Your Life. Tonight’s show featured former world number one tennis player Leyton Hewitt.

Hewitt was invited to the home of Sydney radio personality Alan Jones where he was to be having lunch, but instead of Alan coming out it was Mike Munro and a camera crew to greet him and reveal that famous book.

The show itself hasn’t changed that much you could say, the set has changed to make it feel a lot bigger than previous seasons and this time Mike gets his own couch, which personally I’m not a fan of as he is the host and it needs to look like he is ‘working’ and not relaxing on the couch with everyone else.

Another problem I had with this show is that the show has become a lot more ‘corny’ in that half of the audience members were from the cheer group The Fanatics, a red carpet arrival, performances from Kevin Bloody Wilson and Shannon Noll as well as the expected walk in of their daughter to give that ‘cute’ feeling to the show. Many may disagree with me but I cannot stand watching that and will make a point of avoiding the show if it becomes a weekly addition tot he show.

This Is Your Life is on the Nine Network 6:30pm Sunday’s.
