Nine HD Launches…

feature photo

Tonight the Nine Network ventured where there other two commercial networks have already ventured and launched their High Definition channel which you can find on channel 90. It comes after the Seven Network’s 7HD launch nearly five months ago, and just like back then it was a very low-key event.

The first program to be shown on the channel was Nightline at 10:30pm, which has been delayed for the main channel until 11:30pm followed by the series E Ring and the movie Unanswered Questions. During Nightline the commercial breaks were only one ad long, and with the new watermark, someone at nine forgot to take the ‘HD’ part off screen during that first break.

Below are some images from the new channel as well as the ‘launch’ in the YouTube video below.

  1. UGLIEST logo on TV!
    PLEASE CHANGE IT CHANNEL 9!!!

  2. Yeah, that “bubble” theme Nine is using looks really bad. And the “HD” part is squished up inside its bubble.
