My Kid’s A Star - The Next Flop From Nine…

feature photo

In all fairness to the Nine Network this year they have commissioned some 40 brand new shows for the 2008 season, a far more outstanding effort than those of their competitors. But when more and more cringe worthy crap is produced like My Kid’s A Star, the latest in a long line of under performing shows for the network, then is the investment really worth it? With the headline shown from the Daily Telegraph below, I’m not the only one who thinks this show wont last.

If you missed the show and there would be many who did with only 878,000 people nation wide tuning in, then you didn’t miss much.

star2.JPGAs the name of the show suggests and the advertising leading up to the shows premier, the show is about children wanting to make it big in the world of show business, with their parents probably making their cause worse off. The show isn’t really all about what talent these children may or may not have. The show is purely a focus on what the parents reaction is to their child’s rejection and success.

The show is presented by Cameron Daddo who also is joined by three judges who are an expert in the field of child stars and how the world of Hollywood works.

I don’t even want to put up any more images to be honest because in particular one of the performers is that of a 15 year old girl who looks like she is 25 years old, and the judges are spot on when they say they are only kids and they are made out as if they are competing with adults.

If your game enough My Kid’s A Star is on the Nine Network 7:30pm Wednesday night’s… while it lasts.
