Hole In The Wall: Desperate For Audience Members…
Check out episode 1 here including videos.
Hole In The Wall is a brand new game show coming to the Nine Network soon, which is currently being filmed at Melbourne Docklands Central City Studio’s. The series is developed by Fremantle Media and is a re-make of the Japanese version titled Brain Wall.
Essentially the premise of the show is that a contestant will stand there and a wall will creep towards them and they must find a way of getting through that space on the wall.
Nine has been running advertisements in Melbourne for a while now asking for people to join in as an audience member. In what seems to be a desperate attempt, now they have modified that advert and are now giving away to one member of each sessions audience members a Samsung 32″ LCD TV. Seems to me that the interest in this program hasn’t exactly been outstanding and they need to now provide an incentive, and can you blame anyone for not wanting to go?
I originally e-mailed a reply to find out more information about being in the audience for the show and got a response but ignored it as I have no-one to go with (wouldn’t wanna be a loner), but have now received another with the ‘temptation’ of winning a television (I still won’t be going).
So if you are interested in going along, head to the Be Part of a Show section of the site where you can find all the information you will need, and if you do end up going please report back and share your experience with everyone.

I went to a filming on Monday 12th at 7.30pm. There was an hour delay due to “technical difficulties” which was building my frustration especially since I had brought my younger sisters on a school night.
It was my first experience in the tv studio so I thought that was great, but the show’s concept was a bit boring after 2 walls. The “celebs” for contestants were mostly people I didn’t know.
Alot of lame jokes told that no one laughed at, so that definitely explained why they taped the audience applause and laughter prior to the show as well so they can just use that instead of the silent reaction.

I applied for tickets ages ago for this show and turned up early last night only to get turned away with a load of other people at the gate. Apparently, they overbook by 70% because they get a lot of dropouts, but with this show there has been a huge response. This would have been handy to know before hand, then I wouldn’t have gone to the trouble of organising a baby sitter, paying for an etag and driving for an hour and a half to get turned away at the gate. Very dissapointing…..

I applied for tickets to this show ages ago, it got rcancelled then rebooked for tonight. I went theere tonight 13/05 only to be told that they were full and didn’t need us. Talk about unprofessional and totally inappropriate. I left work early, organised a carer for my father, drove in peak hour traffioc for 2 hours to get to Docklands to be turned away. Shame on you Fremantle - run a show and be loyal - we aren’t puppets!! LOSERS!!

Watched as much of the show (sneak peak 06/08/2008)as we could. What a load of stupid, boring rubbish. Whoever said yes to airing this tripe has a Hole in the Head. Axe it, to save more embarrasment for channel nine.

I agree with Gina. Last night’s show was terrible. We watched the Spanish version whilst in Spain recently - much more interesting! Maybe Nine could change the format and also not use celebrities!

What a let down that show was…yes it was funny in parts however, how are any of our guys going to get through those “Holes in the Wall”!..yes made in China and we all know how small they are!…come on guys, if you want Aussie blokes to play the game, make the bloody holes bigger!…and as for the costumes well thats another story…don’t know how long this show will last, probably another episiode and that will be it, there is only so much going through holes any one person can watch…

Another rip off of a great japanese show..Japanese..not made in china, Kerry Hobdan. And whats with the discrimination “we all know how small they are”. Not everyone from japan or “china” is small, so get your facts straight before submitting your racist comments.
And for the holes in the wall…thats the point…some are small, or a stupid shape that you can’t get through, Its for a laugh and to see if you can actually get through the hole. Take a look at the original Japanese version on youtube called human tetris. Its shows really stupid holes and funny on how they try to get through them
Aussies have now ruined the show. But I agree to Kerry hobdan’s last comment. “THere is only so much going through the holes any one person can watch” …eventually it would be too repetative and die out after a while.
