Car Crash TV Coming To Nine…
The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) the Victorian Government body responsible for those gruesome traffic awareness ads we see on our screens is developing a television series for the Nine Network. The series at a cost of 4 million dollars to the Victorian taxpayers is titled Sudden Impact and will be in eight parts.
According to the Herald Sun, the series will screen in the second half of the year and will be very simular to the New Zealand based show Serious Crash Unit and the Seven Network’s Medical Emergency.
However some within the TAC believe that the funds could be used in a more appropriate manner according to the article, with many victims awaiting compensation from the TAC. The idea of this series is to promote public awareness on what we should and shouldn’t be doing on our roads, and will form apart of the TAC’s program on educating the community. The TAC already spends and estimated $30 million on advertising alone, with $700 million spent on compensation claims.

Dear Danny,
Just wondering when the show is coming out because i am featured on it. My accident involved a horse flying through my windscreen and knocking my boyfriend out which i then helped save his life. Since then he has dumped me because the accident caused me to get clingy and now i do not have Wes Crook’s details and i’d very much like to know when it will be on tv so i can watch it.
Thank you
Nicole

Not sure, there hasn’t been a date set for this only that it will be on air in the second half of the year. If I had to make a guess maybe September when the Olympics were over.
