When Seven Has A Spare 15 Minutes…

feature photo

Recently I wrote what happens when Nine or Nine HD have a spare 15 minutes up there sleeve by filling it in with a clever advertisement of a band, calling it Nine Presents the example shown was from the Rogue Traders.

Seven has something a little simular on both its main channel and 7HD, first of all on the main channel in the afternoons they use footage from the NBC Today Show of a performance given on the American morning television show titling it as “Behind The Scenes, How Does It Work?” quite an odd title.

Today’s performance was from singer John Legend.

While over at 7HD when there is a spare moment footage from performances on Sunrise are used with an introduction from the hosts Melissa Doyle and David Koch.

On an unrelated topic, tonight on 7HD at 12:40am there is a program called The Road To Beijing hosted by Johanna Griggs which will look at the lead-up to the Olympic Games. It is a rather odd place to be screening it at such a late time and on the HD channel, but tomorrow it will be on this site for those of you who like your sleep.

And now it has just been brought to my attention that this is a series on Saturday afternoons, I will still have a look at the series shown at 4:30pm Saturday afternoons.

  1. You didn’t include the main component of 7HD’s fillers - they are called a 7HD ‘Breakaway’ - have a look here - http://idents.tv/blog/2008/03/27/the-very-polished-seven-hd/

  2. They are shown more in the comercial breaks rather than shown as actual dedicated programs, but yes they are very simular.

  3. Danny, The Road to Beijing is shown on Seven at 4:30pm on Saturday so this must be a repeat on the HD channel.

  4. You’re right, thanks for bringing this to my attention.
