Today & A Current Affair Go Gordon Ramsay Crazy…
The surprise ratings hit of 2008 Gordon Ramsay has landed in Australia and of course the Nine Network is going to take every opportunity to milk this occasion for all it is worth.
Ramsay is in Australia as a special guest of the Sydney Food and Wine Festival which runs from Friday 20th to 22nd June, as well as taking the opportunity to scout potential sites in Sydney and Melbourne for his new restaurant, where a new television series for Nine will potentially be filmed.
This morning Ramsay was a guest on the Today Show talking to host’s Lisa and Karl live from the Sydney Food and Wine Festival, managing to get the “S word” in as well as the “F word” in during the interview, proving that it is even difficult for him to bite his tong for early morning television.
The interview was quite entertaining with Lisa confronting the chef on the rumours coming out of Los Angeles that he had undergone botox injections as he looked like a new and refreshed person. Ramsay laughed at the suggestion and responded by saying “you’re a smart girl right? I saw you first thing this morning; honestly I got my 6 o’clock rise, straight up. Do you actually think I’ve had botox? Do you think I need my money back? I mean are you stupid?”
Ramsay also said that he would love to a Kitchen Nightmares series here in Australia with Channel Nine being very interested in the concept. The interview finished with Karl saying “does it look like he’s had botox Lisa?” with Ramsay responding with “stop F@%#ing around” with him then walking off, all in good fun.

That was not the end of Ramsay’s interviewing commitments, he then spoke to Tracy Grimshaw for A Current Affair with Tracy surprisingly opening the interview by saying “Gordon welcome to Australia, how the F@%# are you?” which I personally found surprising like I said and hilarious seeing that come from Tracy Grimshaw.
With that Ramsay got a little fired up about how recently there was a senate inquiry into swearing on Australian Television stating that he isn’t a broadcaster he doesn’t make the decisions to show it, and if it’s such a problem screen it after 9pm.
