Sam Newman Says Sorry…
“Sam Newman’s two month war is over with the controversial Footy Show star unreservedly apologising for his offensive behaviour. Newman has been off the show for the past four weeks, he says he will make his return tomorrow night a changed man”
Newman said that he is sorry that he has offended people, but Tony Jones questioned if he was really sorry because it didn’t look like he was. Newman responded by saying that he doesn’t know how he wanted him to say it but he is genuinely sorry for his actions and it was not his intent to offend those who were offended.
Newman dismissed the idea that this is a publicity stunt by saying that this is an exercise in apologising to people that he has offended… period. Caroline Wilson declined to comment on the issue and the apology of Sam by saying the issue has moved on from just her.
