It Was Bad 16 Years Ago, And It Still Is: Australia’s Naughtiest Home Videos…

feature photo

It was a case of back to the future last night with the re-airing of the show made famous for being pulled off air midway through, Australia’s Naughtiest Home Videos hosted by Doug Mulray and presented by Bert Newton.

We can now all see why Kerry Packer pulled the show from air, not that I was offended or anything but the show is simply pointless. However that did not steer Australian’s away in droves from watching Nine with a massive 1.3 million tuning in to see the show, a figure Nine will be very pleased with.

Someone may want to confirm this for me, but the below image shows one of the last videos seen before the show was pulled from air, showing a couple having sex in the open with a ‘too rude’ stamp over the top. By the looks of the stamp it looks very new and not something graphically we would see in the 90’s, suggesting that when originally going to air nothing was left to the imagination, and would have pushed Packer to boiling point.

Below is the video of where the show was originally cut off, sorry about the quality of the video…

The thing I was most impressed with was the video screen in the background; remember those days where a large screen consisted of 16 30cm televisions? So now lets be grateful this is only a one off and prey to god that Nine wont ever go down this path again, but then again I can see it now “Bert Newtons 20 to 01 Naughties Home Videos”.
