Although officially it is still winter for a few more days, we got a bit of a reminder of what it is like to view television during the summer with the start of the Top End Tour of cricket with Australia taking on Bangladesh.
The day wasn’t without any controversy either with Australian all rounder Andrew Symonds sent home by the team before the game started, however this did not stop the team thrashing Bangladesh by 180 runs.
With some of the best on air presentation for sport, Nine’s cricket coverage is something I look forward to every year, but the real stuff wont be starting until November 20 when Australia takes on New Zealand at the GABBA for a test match.
There are two more matches to be played in the Top End Tour which will be televised on the Nine Network they are on September 3 and 6.
