Grant Hackett’s New Role Presenting Sport For National Nine News…
Today the Nine Network announced that Olympian Grant Hackett has signed a deal with the network to present sport on the weekend edition of Melbourne’s National Nine News, a role which will be left vacant by Heath O’Loughlin.
The news of the appointment ironically came within the news tonight with Peter Hitchener, saying that Hackett will be part of the Nine Network’s commentary line-up for the 2010 and 2012 Olympic Games held in Vancouver and London respectively.
Just recently it was revealed that Seven wanted Hackett to appear on Dancing With The Stars before taking up a position within the network. Hackett wasn’t happy at this prospect wanting to broaden his television experience as he’s retirement comes closer.
