Anna Coren Shown The Door Early At Seven…
Anna Coren the host of the Seven Network’s Today Tonight will present her last ever edition of the top rating current affairs show Today Tonight, tomorrow night. Coren will take up her new position as Hong Kong correspondent for CNN on December 1, but had originally planned to stay at Seven for another seven weeks.
Her replacement was announced last week, it was announced that Matthew White would take up the chair from 2009 and was planning to take a holiday shortly, but now he will be thrown into the hot seat from Monday next week, crushing any previous holiday plans.
While Coren has been at the helm the show has had its usual criticism of which it had under previous host Naomi Robson, and was the number one target for The Chaser’s War On Everything. Coren has also had to deal with the defamation case brought against her and the network over the Mercedes Corby incident.
