Ian Ross signs off for the last time…



Seven News Sydney newsreader Ian Ross has signed off for the very last time tonight, ending a media career spanning 50 years and in doing so hands the reigns of the weeknight bulletin over to Chris Bath. Holding back tears at the conclusion of the bulletin Ross thanked the Seven Network for giving him the opportunity to read the flagship bulletin and the viewers of Sydney.

Moving into the weekend slot for Seven News will be former Nine News presenter Mark Ferguson. Additionally in Melbourne tonight weather presenter on Nine News Livinia Nixon signed off, leaving to go on maternity leave.
