The Nine Network will launch its latest reality show The Secret Millionaire in the 9:30 timeslot on October 8 which will be narrated by Hollywood superstar Russell Crowe. The show features a diverse range of well off Australians wanting to help those who are not so fortunate.
Each week some of Australia’s richest individuals are taken away from their lavish, jet-setting lifestyles and sent undercover into impoverished neighbourhoods around the country where it is common for people to be earning the minimum wage.
While undercover they become part of the community, working and volunteering with the local community while they consider who most deserves to be gifted thousands of dollars of their own personal wealth.
The programme will also look at important social issues affecting Australia and will give away in excess of $750,000 to those who truly need it. The series is based on the British and American versions which screened on Nine earlier in the year and during summer last year.
The Secret Millionaire premiers on the Nine Network on Thursday October 8 at 9:30pm.
