In the 21st season of The Simpsons the famous Tree House of Horror episode makes a return for the twentieth time in… The Simpsons Tree House of Horror XX.
The first story revolves around Krusty’s latest fast food sandwich which transforms the residents of Springfield into enraged zombies, 28 days later the zombies have overrun the whole town.
The next story involves Homer accidentally falling through a trapdoor in Moe’s tavern and impales himself on the pipes of Moe’s microbrewery. Moe serves Marge and the barflies glasses of beer flavoured with Homer’s blood, while Homer is now half-man, half-brewing apparatus, trapped underneath the bar he sings about his fate in the style of Sweeney Todd.
Finally Lisa strikes a deal with Bart to take revenge on their teachers, but when the plan goes horribly wrong Lisa turns her vengeance towards Bart in a series of homage’s to classic Alfred Hitchcock, including Vertigo, Psycho, North By Northwest and Spellbound.
The Simpsons Tree House of Horror XX airs on Network Ten Tuesday November 3 at 7:30pm.
