hi I’m Brett Hickey and I’m a nutrition coach which pretty much means I help people lose weight fit into their clothes and have greater health and in this video I’m gonna teach you how to lose weight without dieting the number one thing to keep in mind if that is your goal is to beat under a framework and that framework of eating is focusing on Whole Foods vers processed if you can do that 80 percent of the time even sixty percent of the time you’re gonna have excellent results losing weight having more energy throughout the day maybe build some lean muscle and you’ll never have to go on a diet again let me show you an example of exactly what I mean so imagine here we have your plate okay now we’re gonna build this plate and show an example of Whole Foods over process and you’re going to start with a good protein source this can be a good smart protein source about the size of your palm chicken beef fish eggs you name it good quality smart protein the next thing we’re gonna do to build this plate is focus on some quality carbohydrates about the size of a handful so you’re gonna fill up your plate with those quality carbohydrates oatmeal potatoes fruit rice all whole foods the other thing you’re gonna do is load up a large portion of that plate two fistfuls of veggies greens make a bed of greens throw the protein on top those greens are gonna are gonna be anything from spinach it could be broccoli it could be your whatever vegetable you like most fill up half that plate with veggies and then the other thing is we’re gonna fill that plate in with one to two tablespoons of good fats so that could be something like avocado it could be something like some nuts it could be something like nut butter a little bit of olive oil on the greens or maybe you have some coconut oil that you cooked everything with there you have it that is a full plated meal and when you focus on Whole Foods versus process you’re limiting eliminating some key problematic foods number one you’re gonna reduce processed carbohydrates which is a huge plus for health and has the biggest health impact overall number two you’re gonna reduce refined sugars which will drop calories make you healthier inside and out and you’ll feel better throughout the day too and the third thing that real whole food does is it promotes satiety it’s simply more filling than processed food it’s difficult to overeat and it’s a built in brake system to control your portions to where you can cruise effortless effortlessly through your day light and comfortable without a bunch of cravings now if you liked this video be sure to hit like share it with a friend and be sure to subscribe and click the link right below this video and it’s going to take you to my blog where you get tons more free nutrition tips just like this thanks for watching
